Love the fact that this pool has covers! The entrance fee is $3 dollars and the pool is huge! They also have a very shallow pool outside for little toddlers and kids! If you are interested in diving, they also have a diving pool that is 12 feet deep. The pool is also open during winter and is temperature controlled so you still swim.

The staff at Optimist Park Community Center did not help my child feel welcome and safe. My child had a difficult time with the adults here looking after him and helping him. The leadership has extremely poor communication skills and follow-through. I do not recommend leaving your child in the care of the camp counselors and directors at this facility. I was able to see first-hand how well my child was treated and I could not in good conscience take them back there, despite the money spent.

Cool park and playground with EIGHT different ways to climb up to the second level! Themed like the woods it’s surrounded by. Two different creative swings and a different sit-n-spin like I’ve never seen before. It has a big enough base for 3-4 small kids to sit on while spinning. There’s also a very scenic wooded area to walk through with paved pathways over to the tennis courts. This park has thee biggest indoor swimming pool ever! It’s HUGE! Cool playground! 👍👍

This massive park is more than a neighborhood or even a regional park, it's a huge opportunity for recreation of all sorts. The park includes a community center with a gymnasium, classrooms and meeting rooms (with a warming kitchen), a year-round pool, playgrounds, sports facilities and nature trails. I spotted two separate playgrounds, each has a rubberized surface and mulch. The Baseball field appears to be lighted, there are tennis courts and basketball courts. And the park is connected to the Shelley Lake Greenway Trail. Lots of parking, lots going on here all times of the year!

Took my 4 year old (at the time) here for swimming lessons. Nice staff and clean facilities. Hope we can go back after this COVID craziness is over.
