Here's what people think of Outback Steakhouse

As of recent, Outback Steakhouse holds a 4.1-star rating based on 2038 reviews.

Customer reviews of Outback Steakhouse generally recognize the chain for its reliably good steaks and attentive service. Many diners praise the flavor, juiciness, and precise cooking of the steaks, noting that the meat quality meets expectations for casual steakhouse dining. Positive feedback also highlights the friendly and attentive staff, who contribute to a pleasant overall experience. The classic Bloomin' Onion remains a fan favorite. However, some negative reviews cite the atmosphere as somewhat generic and comparable to typical chain restaurants rather than a premium steakhouse ambiance, which some customers feel does not fully match the quality of the food and service. We ate at around 6pm on Friday. Restaurant was about 70-80% full but service was very good and kitchen was very fast. Steak was cooked well and all the food was good. Only complaint is that husband and I both thought our Caesar salads were a little over dressed. One of our meals came with cheesecake and we were too full so the server went ahead and brought it boxed up for us!

We visited Outback Steakhouse for nostalgia, but unfortunately, the food quality was a huge letdown. The biggest issue was the salad—it was outright rotten, and it seems we weren’t alone. Other tables nearby were sending their salads back too, which makes it clear this wasn’t an isolated incident. On top of that, the fried items came out overly dark and unappetizing because, as staff admitted, they were using old fry oil. The chicken was also overcooked, making it tough and dry. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was still good, but the food quality has clearly slipped. It was disappointing to see a place we once loved fall so short.

We got there and ordered water and appetizer. We got our water probably in 1015 minutes. Sit there waiting another 10 or 15 minutes. She came and asked us so we wanted to order. We ordered our steak and salad another 2025 minutes. Still no appetizer, but we got our salad. I canceled the appetizer then the waitress came and asked why I canceled it. I told her I wanted to appetizer I didn’t want it with my salad. Finally got the steak. I ordered marry me a while and I got a rare one and it was really tough and chewy will not be going back.

Ordered online, was delivered faster than the estimate. I asked for extra dressing for my salads and dip for the blooming onion, Got them with no extra charge. They didn’t forget to remove the tomatoes from my salad. The steak had a perfect sear and cook. Overall great experience.
