I mean it might’ve been the Detroit night I was at August 2nd. But it was live from 11pm until close. From the first dj until the last dj the music was so good and had a power to it that was attention grabbing & gave so many people energy on the dance floor. The cocktails were a 10/10 and the service was great! It was so busy that it did take a while to get a drink and that is not anyone’s fault it was just a really good time!! One of the few places left in the city to catch a high house/techno DJ with a packed house. They also often have a great selection of sake!!

Joe is hands down the best bartender there — truly top-notch. In fact, the entire bar staff is excellent: friendly, fast, and professional. Now, let’s talk about the entrance. The door situation is terrible. It seems that the less someone knows, the more arrogant and “wise” they think they are. A little humility — or even a basic judo or jiu-jitsu class (not for fighting, just to learn something) — would go a long way. Once you're inside, the vibe shifts. It’s cozy, respectful, and well-run. But then comes the crowd: young, insecure guys dragging their girlfriends along and acting like nightclub security guards. Gentlemen, if you're going to glare at everyone who glances her way, maybe stay home. This is a place to flirt. It always has been. Old-school rules apply. Also, a gentle suggestion: implement a dress code for men. I’m honestly tired of seeing a parade of overpriced streetwear pretending to be style. Balenciaga or not — show some effort. Despite all that, I still go often. It's not amazing — in fact, it’s a bit overrated and packed with people who think too highly of themselves for no clear reason. But it’s good for the girls. They may not offer much beyond their looks once you start talking, but hey, welcome to the Instagram era. That’s the new

The sound system, flashing lights on the walls, and the screen on the ceiling make for an incredible experience. Love that it’s a very intimate & well thought out venue. (But that’s also why peak hours can be uncomfortable with people passing through you all the time) The crowd was good: reasonably looking, sober enough, some personality. Appreciate that drinks come in a glass. Wine is good enough. Very lovely lady working at the coat check. Edit: Consistently great experience here, just come before 11 and chances are - you won’t spend your night in line and will have the best time of your life. Also shoutout to their porter guy and the bathroom cleaner staff, they are doing god’s work.

I went here with friends on a Wednesday night. I was not expecting it to be busy, but the ambience was phenomenal. It felt like I was transported to a movie in the 1980s. I ordered a gin martini and a Manhattan. The bartenders were quite friendly and welcoming, the music wasn’t overtly ‘clubby,’ but had a nice mix of jazz, house music and liminal sounds.
