We went to the Overlook the day after Valentine's Day. We happened to get a no-show's reservation. So, No wait! 🎉 We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and added the grilled shrimp. It was AMAZING!!!!!! I expected this to be mediocre, but it was much better than I expected. Soo creamy and flavorful! We also ordered the grilled chicken w/bacon sandwich with fries which was good! We also ordered the drink: Siesta and it was nice and STRONG! 👍🏽👍🏽 Our waitress was Maria, and she was Awesome! Very attentive, so kind and a great personality! Ask for her! I would definitely come back. The dining room isn't all that big, however, I personally prefer a smaller setting. With that being said, make a reservation!

Came here for the Valentines dinner and we loved it! Its on the 2nd floor of the downtown raleigh residence inn. Turn right around the corner after getting off the elevator or make a left after getting to the 2nd floor through the stairs. Also, make sure you're not standing in front of the employee elevator. (Don't ask me how I know) The risotto was a tad salty but the salmon bites were great! We didn't like the eel sauce the mayo was great! I personally enjoyed both salads but my wife didn't like the strawberry salad due to the basilica vinegar being too sour. The Mahi Mahi was good and the lamb lollipop was also great with the mint jelly. Caution, sample the mint jelly before you go all out since you may not like it. The red velvet cake and the chocolate torte were both good but the red velvet is so moist and delicious you could probably just go with two of those and be happy!!!! Definitely give it a try!

Our daughter graduated this past weekend and we were trying to find a place to host a large group for dinner. With graduation season being extremely popular, it was hard to find a space to accommodate a large group. We were actually looking at a sister restaurant that was unavailable, but the Catering Sales & Event Coordinator, Leslie, recommended Overlook. Leslie was phenomenal during the coordination and made the process seamless. The night of the dinner, our table was ready when we arrived and Jess was an amazing server. The staff was attentive and super helpful. The food and drinks were good too. I highly recommend the steak...it was cooked too perfection! This is a great hidden gem and I would definitely come back with a large group again.

Wonderful experience, we had dinner before attending The Nutcracker Ballet. Perfect location and the holiday atmosphere added a nice touch. Hailey was awesome and so attentive. The salmon was perfect, and the Caprese Flatbread was the perfect start to our dinner.
