PADL Virginia Key Beach Club is the perfect tropical escape right in Miami! I loved everything about my visit—the array of equipment including paddle boards, kayaks, bikes and the calm, crystal-clear waters of Key Biscayne made for the most relaxing day. The staff was friendly and helpful, (Thanks Ryan!) and I also appreciated the convenience of their self-service paddle board rentals so you can enjoy the water on your own schedule. After paddling, I kicked back in a lounge chair under an umbrella and truly felt like I was on vacation. It’s also a great spot to hang out with the girls - and even for special events—I was told they host birthday parties and private gatherings, which makes total sense because the setting is ideal for a fun and laid-back celebration. Whether you’re looking to get active on the water or just unwind in a serene island setting, this place is a must-visit!

UPDATE: REMOVING MY 5-STAR REVIEW FOR A TWO-STAR. The attendant (white man with blonde hair) was extremely rude and careless; we stood at the hut for almost a minute before he even looked up from his phone. Told us to give him one person's ID for the entire party, and we'd be good to go, and pay after we finished. Water had a lot of seaweed and was much murkier that the first time I went a couple weeks ago. Boards were completely self-service, and we got them ourselves. After we were done paddling, we went back to the stand to pay- and the guy never gave me back my ID- I simply didn't remember after 1hr+ in the water. I thought it was a little fishy, after he mentioned when I was paying that I can tip him 18,20 or 22%. WHY would I tip you if you didn't help me and I had to do everything myself. I'm speculating because I did not tip him, he purposely did not give me back my ID. I had to come all the way back here the next day to retrieve it; worst part is the attendant didn't even apologize or say a word when he handed it back to me. Just stuck his arm out, and again, on his phone. Won't be back to this location. This location on Virigina Key for PADL is one of my favorites- friendly staff that watches your bags, and it is along an inlet of Biscayne Bay that is very nice. Rentals were clean, and life jackets were provided at no extra cost, but looks like they weren't required like some other PADL locations I've been to. Long stretch of beach you can paddle on, and go out pretty far, until the buoys separating the swim zone and the boats. Boats might cause some waves, but it is definitely not rough like a beach on the ocean. The water is perfectly clear and warm, and no seaweed in the water nor on the beach. Only downside is parking, which is hard to find, but they have reserved spots for $20 (I ended up parking in one without knowing that it was that expensive). Very friendly paddlers too!

we luckily found this cozy paddleboard and kayak rental facility by chance driving to Biscay last week. ORTEGA was a fantastic guy, and totally both helped out my 2 sons learning to paddle board, and getting up to speed in just a few minutes! We had a great time and I totally was a highlight of our day. The next time we're down that way we're going to paddle and play there for sure!!

Had issues with the first board because the bluetooth wouldn’t release it, called customer service they picked up right away (inside the US not in India) and helped me troubleshoot, even gave me a first time user coupon for a discount. A little on the pricey side since this isn’t a motored sport but convenient. Would use them again. Excellent customer service.
