Poor sales tactics (front desk tried to push products on me by stating 30% off sale was for today and one day only, as I received an email from PBT stating the 30% off sale was from May 06-10). Poor customer service (I’m not expecting a professional employee to be working here, but at least be nice). Other PBT locations have super friendly, knowledgeable, and honest staff. Can’t say the same about this location. Front door step is a liability, safety hazard, and literally one step from a broken ankle. But 2 stars because their diamond bed is nice.

I visited Palm Beach Tan and noticed a sign indicating that Glo Sun Spa had closed and was sold to Palm Beach Tan on Frankford. At the Frankford/Preston location, I spoke with Bella, who was unable to locate my information in the system. I then contacted the Mansfield Glo Spa Tan, which assisted me in identifying my membership. I provided my bank statements showing the monthly withdrawals for my membership. Bella was exceptional in her assistance, taking charge of my membership issues with HR corporate and promising to follow up with me. Her professionalism and customer service were outstanding.

Last Tuesday I went in for my monthly spray tan. The manager said the machine is “ not talking”.. I asked what does that mean? She said you have to know when to turn… but it works . As we were walking to the room she pointed to the “upgraded” versa tan and said you can do this spray tan … but not complimentary … the machine did not work at all!!!! It sprayed half way up my legs!!!😡 I was not happy. I waited for 10 minutes in the front by the desk and she never appeared !!!!! What horrible customer service!!!! Do not go here!!!!!

Unfortunately, after being a customer at Palm Beach tan for 5+ years now, I am EXTREMELY disappointed to drop my rating from a 5-star to a 1-star. The reason for this drop in rating is because they have gotten rid of the Versa Pro Machine - which is the ONLY machine that gives you a premium looking spray tan. They have replaced this with their own spray tan booth because that makes them more money. It is such a shame to see a company put its greed over the happiness and desires of their paying customers. The "Sunscape" is Palm Beach's spray tanning booth and it is not even in the same caliber as the versa pro. The tanning solution & additives all have to be purchased individually and that can cost north of $30. I spray tan every week so that is an additional $120/month on add-ins that I never had to pay for with the Versa Pro. ADDITIONALLY, the color that I get from the sunscape is piss-poor. Even doing the darkest solution shade, "dark", my legs are still waaaaay too light. It it such a waste of money and time to do the sunscape tanning booth because it's not really doing anything for me at the end of the day. In the versa pro, you have the option to do "double pass on the legs" which I always did because it gives you the darker legs that I actually want. Take this from someone who worked in the tanning industry for two years (I worked at LA Sunset Tan in Flower Mound, which is now a Palm Beach Tan), but do not waste your time or money going into a Palm Beach Tan location. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I would recommend that you do the same.
