I love this place!! It’s delicious food and just so happens to be 100% gluten free. They have food options for vegetarian, vegans, and meat eaters. And every employee here is very kind and patient. We had lunch here on a Spring 2025 afternoon. Parking was a little tricky---we found paid street parking pretty close to here. We ordered four items for the four of us. The food was ready pretty quickly. Taste was okay. The chicken did not taste very good. Still, it was a decent meal, mainly because the food was cheap.

We discovered Pana by "accident" while traveling to Santa Cruz back in January 2025. I have been wanting to try Venezuelan arepas after seeing a video from Joana Hausmann, a Venezuelan comedian and actress, where she was taking a friend to try arepas and the one that caught my attention was the arepa named "Reina Pepiada" which is chicken, avocado and mayo. For some reason this combo of ingredients lived in my head for many years. Fast forward to May 2025, I had the chance to travel again to Santa Cruz (from Sacramento) and Pana was my mandatory stop. I ordered my most wanted Reina Pepiada and I was so happy I was finally able to enjoy it. It was soooo good, with their signature garlic sauce. I ordered some "tostones" (patacones for us Panamanians) along with garlic sauce. I'm planning to go back to try their other stuffed arepas. The arepas were stuffed to the max and were satisfying.
