For a neighborhood store, the customer service was quite unneighborly. After purchasing a few gift items, I selected and purchased a folded gift bag to put them in. Once I opened the bag, while still in the store, I realized it was way too big and disproportionate to the items inside. I asked the woman who had just rung me up if I could swap the bag out for a smaller one, and she said no exchanges were allowed. How utterly absurd. I had not even left the store much less taken a step away from the register. Lost a customer today.

I have to say probably one of the most dissatisfying experiences I’ve ever had at a stationery/gift wrap store. I asked the sales clerk if a cupcake gift bag I was picking looked a little too feminine/for a little girl’s birthday because it was for my 79-year-old dad. (They just didn’t have a lot of birthday options, which is already a problem.) The sales person looked at me and said “would he really care, like it’s just a bag man“. In addition to just not being a helpful comment, why is this person working selling very expensive decorative paper goods. They are clearly about individual preferences and matching an occasion. If it is just a bag, why are you charging $10 for it? Why are you putting down your own product before you sell it?
