This store looks interesting but I came here twice and it was closed during the regular operating hours. There was no explanation for why it was closed and no update on when (or if) it would be open. I'm giving this store a 4 because over the years my experience has been positive and I love supporting small businesses steeped in history but i have to say prices are very fair for any new art supplies and stationary but if anything is remotely new old stock be expected to pay a higher price. Because of my budget I will continue to count on flea markets and re sale shops when in the mood for vintage especially when a lot of the old prints are currently being reprinted into calendar format at the bryant park library gift shop and vintage style stationary is becoming the new norm at stores like yoseka and goods for study

Wholesome old school stationery store. Walking inside feels like stepping back in time, which is a nourishing experience in of itself. They have a nice variety of items and the clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Found what I was looking for and more. I wanted to tip to support the business but they don't take tips, so advertising is the next best thing. Definitely coming here for any future needs.

Great products but extremely messy store. Felt as though I was annoying them. When paying, they bagged my notebook and tossed it down on the table; no respect to the notebook I had spent $24 on. The notebook was 5-6 dollars higher then online and was still higher than other stores I've been to. I was in a pinch for a notebook but next time I'd rather wait for a store I'm comfortable in to restock it.
