If you ever want a program where your children will grow as well as learn to be part of a team and what the true meaning of Unity is, then Phoenix is for you. Both my boys one in elementary and one in middle school have been and continue to go through the program. From Josh to Alysia to Coach Angie Brown and the rest of the amazing staff both my boys feel loved and cared for and come home with such positive feedback and self confidence. In a world filled with so much uncertainty, I can whole heartedly tell anyone thinking about Phoenix, JUST DO IT! You wont regret it and neither will your kids!

I’m extremely disappointed with our experience at the Phoenix Volleyball Camp. I enrolled my daughter for two sessions (3 weeks each), spending $315 with the hope that she would learn and improve—especially her serving skills. Unfortunately, she walked away having learned absolutely nothing. The coaching, especially from Coach Angela, was disheartening. There was clear favoritism—certain girls received more attention and instruction, while others (including my daughter) were overlooked simply because they didn’t already know how to serve. Isn’t the point of a camp to teach those who don’t know? Instead of guiding the kids, she dismissed them. Even worse, Coach Angela referred to my daughter as a “loser” at one point—completely unacceptable behavior from an adult in a leadership role. When questions were asked, she responded in a bizarre, repetitive manner, shouting “in the bin” over and over again instead of providing helpful answers. On the last day, when the girls were asked what they wanted to work on, most said “serving,” but only the girls who could already get the ball over the net received help. The rest were made to do extra drills as punishment for not being able to serve properly—how is that encouraging growth? This experience was a waste of time, money, and energy. My daughter is now unprepared for school tryouts, and we’re incredibly let down by what we thought would be a supportive and educational environment. Coach Angela seems burnt out and no longer fit to lead young athletes. I do not recommend this camp to anyone looking for real instruction or a positive environment.

The coaches are not only knowledgeable and experienced, but they genuinely care about each player's growth, both on and off the court. Thanks to their focused training, positive encouragement, and strategic approach, we've seen tremendous improvement in skill, confidence, and team chemistry. They know how to push athletes to be their best while keeping the environment supportive and fun. Coach Angie's knowledge of the game, as well as her dedication to all the kids, is the reason we stayed with Phoenix for over 3 years with both indoor and beach volleyball.
