This is my own secret garden. My plot is doing splendidly this summer! The soil is amazing so everything is bursting right now! This is a great place to get some outdoor therapy in the city. If you are looking to join a community garden Picardo is one of the best. This is my first time gardening so no need to be nervous if you're a novice like me. Everyone I have met so far has been a terrific guide. There are plenty of free classes to take and volunteer opportunities to help educate you on the garden. I love this place!
Ms. Tara's Preschool
We appreciate this large patch of green in the city! Our preschool uses it frequently for outdoor art and nature immersion. The board has generously let us use the covered area, as long as we schedule it in advance. They also gave us a couple plots one year to harvest our own garden. We grow a garden at our preschool too, but we still enjoy the change of scenery within walking distance. It’s magical in the springtime.
