Ping’s Restaurant in Chinatown is a great spot if you’re looking for fresh seafood and classic Chinese dishes. The ginger scallion lobster was super flavorful, and the crab fried rice was a standout—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Their homemade hot sauce adds the perfect kick. They’ve also got a fish tank where you can pick your fish and have it made to order, which is a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and craving some quality seafood.

Been coming here since 2018 and I always have the best food and cultural experience here. There are many Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown, many of them are tourist oriented, and some are too noisy for me. This place is not only authentic but with great service. I highly recommend. Yum, Yum…. Happy belly, big smile and happy vibes.

10 points for the food at Ping's New York, the thin and light dim sum dishes have the fragrant smell of shrimp and seafood combined with sesame oil marinated very well and steamed just right, the best soy sauce chicken feet dish I've ever had is accompanied by golden crab fried rice with soft and fragrant grains mixed with crab and egg and crispy fried rice pieces mixed with spices and decorated with colorful small pieces of tofu. An ideal destination for Chinese food that you should not miss when coming to China Town NY.

Had a really great meal at Ping’s. A few dishes stood out to me and made the experience memorable. We tried the soy-braised squab, which you need to pre-order a day in advance. It’s fresh (never frozen), and the sauce it’s braised in has been developed over decades. The flavor was deep and layered, definitely something you don’t find everywhere. The fried rice had a mix of crispy and soft grains and that texture made it pretty addictive. The Gwo Zing Zung (a type of Cantonese joong) was probably my personal favorite: hearty, fragrant and comforting, it reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking. The beef short ribs in the stone pot were also great. The pot kept the meat warm for a long time, so even as we ate slowly, it stayed flavorful and tender. The lobster E-Fu noodles had a unique texture since the noodles are flown in from Hong Kong, and the shrimp roe on them was a nice touch. We also ordered dim sum, which Ping’s is well-known for. Everything was clearly handmade and fresh. The steamed sponge cake (Ma Lai Go) to the rice rolls and even the steamed oyster with XO sauce. You can tell there’s a lot of experience and consistency in the way they prepare dim sum here. Overall, the food was thoughtful, with a lot of tradition behind it. If you’re into trying classic Cantonese dishes with care put into them, Ping’s is worth visiting.
