This is my most favorite store to shop at and not just for cards! First of all, the store is STUNNING. The vibrant pops of pink and color all around the store draws you in and all the merchandise is laid out so well, especially... THE CARD WALL! wow! I love it so much. I always get the best compliments whenever I gift a card from Paper Epiphanies. Plus all the other items in the store you can tell have been so carefully and thoughtfully curated. I believe many of the items are from other women-owned businesses which... how can you hate on that?! I always end up getting a handful of cards and something extra for myself :) Portland is so lucky to have a store like this in town!

Popped by this bright cheerful shop after my Swedish breakfast across the street while visiting Portland for the day. Wonderful unusual little gifts and cards and ornaments at Xmas time. Great place to pick up some sassy stuff for your feminist friends!

True story. I was heading to the airport on the MAX to catch a flight to North Carolina to visit my sons, one of which who will be leaving on a two year church mission. I won’t get to see him for a couple of years so to say this is an important trip is an understatement. Then it happened… I realized that I had accidentally brought something that I can’t bring on a plane. I didn’t want to throw it away or likely have it confiscated at security so my only option was to mail it. I quickly hopped online once my service reconnected after the train exited the tunnel and learned that PDX has a Mail Drop…surely there’s a way to mail something if there’s a drop, right? WRONG. The USPS only has a mail drop, you know in case you decide to bring all of your outgoing mail to the airport given that it’s even more convenient than your the mailbox at the end of your driveway. Side note: Anything with a flag that can be raised and lowered is too cool to not use, right?! On my way to the security line I continued to think, but I had exhausted every option I could think of besides hiding it somewhere in a bathroom and hoping it’s not discovered before I get back in a few days…not a good idea. Then I saw it, the LARGEST pink mailbox I have ever seen! It had the word, “PiPH” creatively painted upon it’s surface. “What the heck is a “PiPH”?, I asked myself as my heart rate quickened. My disappointed walk turned into a hurried pace and arrived to be greeted by Audrey. I explained my situation to her and she informed me that her store wasn’t a mailing center, but they do have stamps available for purchase…and a gigantic pink mailbox. I mean seriously this thing is like 6 plus feet tall…you could put a baby in it. (Please don’t put a baby in it.) Now in case you’re not aware there are some important things needed for the USPS to deliver a package: 1. The thing in which you need to ship - CHECK! 2. Postage - CHECK! 3. Address to send package to - CHECK! 4. A small box for thing in which you’re sending -….CRAP! So I ask Audrey if she has an empty cardboard box that I can have. She went around the corner for a few seconds then popped out with a small box. SHE’S FREAKING GREAT! I purchased 10 stamps, addressed the package and then tossed it into the MOST GINORMOUS PINK MAILBOX I HAVE EVER SEEN! I hope it actually arrives at my house. If not, well I tried my best and at the least was able to tell the world about one human helping another human, going above and beyond the typical customer service experience we all have had at some time in life. Thank you, Audrey and PiPH. p.s. Love the mailbox.
