A beautiful public park with a nice ocean view, frequent sea breeze and good walking paths.

Evening stroll with my dog, and he loved every tree and every light pole. The views are beautiful and serene at night. The crescent moon🌙 lit the dark skies. The pathway lit with tall street lights (2 were annoyingly blinking) along with the moonlit and few twinkling 🌟 cascaded a low glow and glimmer to the gentle waters. The cool breeze helped encourage a little more steps. At a distance, you could see across the water others who built bonfires to combat the chilly wind. What a delightful place to be, even when the darkness during daylight savings spoiled the brightness of the warm sun at sich an early hour.🌞 I enjoyed every minute. Apparently, others felt the same way from joggers, families and others doing the same.

Fun park to swim and paddleboard. There are sandy beaches and the trees provide shade. Parking is really close to the beach. Lifeguards are present and very attentive. A small island that can easily be reached by swimming or paddleboard.

Underrated. A very quiet and serene place to be, especially during the weekdays. Ride a bike or walk/jog on the sidewalk. Lay on the grass, do yoga or whatever the hell you wish to do. On weekends there tends to be larger gatherings. Various bonfire pits scattered across the area. Playgrounds available for children, and public restrooms available (though unfortunately, not the cleanest sometimes). The parking lots can be filled with some questionable RVs, but besides a few interesting characters no one really bothers you and tends to their own business. The north area of the park is also accessible through San Diego's public transportation system (the MTS) via the Blue Line trolley at the Clairemont Drive transit center. Don't be afraid to get your daily dose of vitamin-D by coming out here! (p.s. this is also a nice area to watch the 4th of July fireworks from Sea World's firework show)
