PlebLab is a one-of-a-kind space in ATX. I've been to PlebLab numerous times over the last 1-2 years, for meetups, coworking, launch parties, and various events and I've always had a good time. PlebLab is welcoming to those in the bitcoin space as well as newbies like myself who are interested in learning more about it. I'm inspired by the energy at PlebLab - everyone works hard, is super committed to their projects but is also around for camaraderie, to support one another, but also to have some good ol' fun. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're a bitcoiner or a BIT-curious ;)

I spent the last year at pleblab and am amazed, on the one hand, that there are not yet any 1-star reviews. On the other hand, the atmosphere of fear is such that I suspect people believe that if you do speak up, all bitcoin companies will blacklist you and you'll never work in bitcoin. This may be true. In the past year, I met some incredible people at the lab. But I watched person after person after person after person after person after person after person after incredible person leave. From what I observed, the majority left feeling isolated, and with their reputations having been shredded (mostly unfairly). I can think of 7-11 people this pattern played out with. And in my opinion many of these people were taken advantage of. There is, indeed, much talent at pleblab. But *so much* of it leaves on negative terms. Additionally, my personal advice to women is this; stay away. If you have a husband who is needed to make the place look good, you may be fine. You might be fine if you are well-known enough to give credibility to the place, and thus needed. But any other women? I would advise *very* *strongly* against getting involved here. I may be the only one reckless enough to say it, to put that warning out there that I wish someone had given me but I think, with good reason, that I am far from the only one who would want to give this warning. There are good people at pleblab who want it to succeed. I suspect my words will hurt, and I am sorry this is so. I am tired of good, innocent, talented people having no idea what hit them, over and over again, without warning. As things currently stand, I expect the number will only continue to grow.
