I would say an adequate gathering space for contra dance. Floor is great, columns do unfortunately impinge on the dance area, acoustics not the best. It DOES have a 20+ years history of weekly contra dances to it's credit.

The community hall in the lower building is situated in the historic John B. Allen School, now operated as a meeting, performance venue, by the Phinney Neighborhood Association. It hosts Seattle Folklore Society concerts, Emerald City Contradances, public meetings, church services, choir practices, private functions, and more. This is a fantastic resource for the community. Amenities include a capacious stage, sound system, stage lighting, WiFi and more. 12-Oct-2022 Still going strong. The contradances are back after a COVID interruption, the in person live concerts have been back for a year. And the hall is rented out more and more. Elevator access from the parking lot for those whose physical abilities don't mesh with stairs.
