Take a left at the fork, go down until you see a dirt path on the right and enjoy bouldering on the river. Sunset is beautiful here.

Instead of working out at a hotel gym the day after a Hurricanes game, come here instead! It’s lovely.

We accessed the Neuse Trail from Poole Road Park. There wasn't much to see along the walking trail, but river side provided a much more interesting adventure. The water level I'm told was lower then some weeks back. And the lower water exposed big rocks that one could walk along. It was great for pictures. Also nice for sitting on the rocks and relaxing amongst the soothing sound of the rushing water. A perfect spot for the kids to play for a few hours.

Beautiful place for a stroll or to spend an afternoon with the kids. Very peaceful early morning. Will be back. Clean bathrooms too.

Make sure you look at the map before you walk the trail. There's no benches. Not too much trash unless you get on the rocks by the river. Watch for snakes. Seen 2, one on the rocks and one dead on the trail. Good for Longboarding
