I've played kickball and flag football with Underdog and had a great time. Kickball is generally the chiller of the two but that's probably to be expected. The umps/refs are pretty consistent in my experience. I've found that the rules are applied fairly to both teams in a game, even if there is sometimes slight variation from game to game depending on who is reffing. I also appreciate that the league as a whole generally discourages over-competitiveness. The vibes stay pretty light-hearted, which is nice for a recreational league. I've made a lot of great friends, not just on my own teams, but with some of my competitors as well, which I didn't expect. If you're considering signing up, I would definitely give it a try! One of the better decisions I've made in the past few years for sure.

The pickleball league was interesting. We were told the rules week 1 that you have to try and keep the scores close, no spins on the balls and no slams either. I guess those rules go out the window by the 3rd week as the more intense teams were doing all of that. Felt bad for the "weaker" teams as they are there for fun but got destroyed by other teams that should probably be in a more competitive environment. Luckily I was able to hang in there but could see how this could be not so welcoming to newer players, which is what the league was supposed to cater too.

“As a policy, Underdog Sports does not allow pregnant people to participate.” At FIVE WEEKS pregnant I’m not allowed to play in the soft core volleyball league. Because “other players may act differently, even on your own team. Absolutely insane. Clearly no women or people who have experienced pregnancy making decisions here. This isn’t a “liability” issue either (we sign waivers) - which I’ll give Eric credit, he never claimed - it is a safety concern for the other players… I fail to see how me being 5 weeks pregnant, or even 40 weeks pregnant could harm another volleyball player, but here we are. I was asked if I’ve been to the doctor. First, pregnant people can make their own decisions about their bodies. But even if I wanted to, it’s too early to see a doctor regarding my pregnancy. This came up because I was worried about morning sickness later on and missing a game/needing a sub. Guess the societal norm of concealing pregnancy is for more than just the risk of loss.

Literally the worst league I’ve ever played in. We were asked whether non-binary players were genuinely non-binary. The rules were changed on us mid-game multiple times, and we were even accused of things that never happened. The umpire at our last game acted like he was on something — completely unprofessional behavior. It's honestly sad because we were actually having fun this season before all of this. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid this league.

Zero stars, Man, just when ya think its fun and people have a positive outlet your whole team gets kicked out of the whole league for things that didn't happen. The accusations that have been made not okay , was any one warned, asked to leave the field, etc ... ..because I don't recall that happening as well as I don't recall any one saying derogatory things or joking about how anyone identifies. And is it okay to be questioning if they really identify how they do? Im thinking thats not okay . While the other team was great , the Ump was half out of it.
