Was going to leave a 3 star before I called- glad I called! The shift lead is attentive, kind and made us feel listened to. Food at this location is lovely, but my boyfriend had a rude experience at the station and a petty amount of sauce given lol. This probably won't happen to you tho- they usually fill it up half way or even over! 😎

I visited this Potbelly location recently and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. The restaurant could have been cleaner, and there was a noticeable odor when I walked in. The staff seemed a bit disengaged, and there were some issues with how the food was prepared and packed — some sauces ended up on the outside of the packaging, which made it messy to handle. I usually enjoy Potbelly, so I’m hoping this was just an off day for this location.

First I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. It was dirty and this was about 10 minutes after they opened. My husband said the men's bathroom was disgusting so he refused to use it. Then I took a bite of my sandwich and noticed a small hair in the bread. Like an eyelash hair. So I couldn't eat it. From the bite and what my husband said about his sandwich, it's not what we're used to. The bread was not toasted enough, his lettuce seemed old, and there didn't seem to be enough meat. We eat at our local Potbelly regularly. I grew up eating Potbelly in Chicago and have been to many all over. It was the worst I have been to so I'd like to warn others. I didn't want to complain and be "that" person so I simply didn't eat anything but the chips. I can't even trust the fountain drink I got. However, they were quick, as we were the only customers there when we went and the place is very spacious. So I'm giving 2 stars for effort. But the employees weren't friendly, they weren't mean either and the cleanliness and food really need help. This is why I write the review in hopes they improve in the future and as a warning.... this reminds me to write a review for the one I go to often. I hope people who are not familiar with Potbelly give other Potbelly locations a chance if encountering a similar experience. I'm constantly raving about Potbelly, but this wasn't it at all.

I put in a group order, then called the location to confirm the order was received. They said "we see it" and explained how delivery was going to work. An hour later, I call the shop and they said the card had a problem processing. So they canceled the whole order. No notification, just a wasted lunch hour. A callback would have been great. If you have to order here, hold their hand at every step or you will be the one that botched a group's lunch order.

The chick who is working tonight 3/16/2025 She’s completely oblivious to anything. We ordered something off the menu and her response is okay what do you want on it. “How it comes” oh well ugh those are my toppings -points to menu. Then doesn’t even make the order correct. She seems like she’s on another planet to be honest
