It’s a great park for all ages! The playground sits right next to a small hill, so my five-year-old can run up and down while I still keep an eye on my three-year-old playing. There are plenty of shady spots with benches, perfect for relaxing, and on weekends they even have a spot where you can barbecue with the family.

A good place to have a nice walk, they have some nice weeping willows (although one or two less than they used too to my knowledge), open fields, soccer goals set up during relevant seasons (summer, spring, fall). I can’t find anything wrong with this place, which was a bit of a proper romping grounds during part of my childhood. Why? Because it’s great for children. There’s two playgrounds, and a elementary school as well as a middle school. It’s also functions as a fine dog park, although the only catch of that aspect of the park is this: you are not allowed to take your dog off the leash while in the park. So it would be kind of hard to throw old Rover that tennis ball you’d conveniently brought on your walk through Prospect Park. The park district sets up the hill near the corner of Norfolk and Oxford for sledding every winter and the tennis courts near the middle school for ice skating, and it’s a decent enough hill for some good sledding. They also set up some sort of festival with hay bails good for children near that hill in the fall. The park district does a good job of maintaining Prospect park, and has always looked into any reports I make about the park with considerable haste within the next day or two. It’s a beautiful place with considerable function. With twin ponds good for mild fishing, nice open fields for romping and what not, 3 baseball fields used by local leagues, a nice tennis court, and seasonally open bathrooms and a new mini parking lot for oxford st. on a smaller note, this is a pretty nice place.

Nice park with a pond, large playground, walking path, pavilion, and parking lot. Playground has a cushioned surface, and equipment for various ages. It also appears to have a sled hill for winter fun.

Beautiful park with a big playground area for the kiddos to play. We enjoyed our family's around the park. The path is well maintained and not bumpy at all for the strollers. We will go back!
