Loved being able to browse around and enjoy a cute little bookshop. The staff were kind and the bathrooms were very clean. I wish there was a bit more of a selection, especially with the non-fiction books, but I understand there is only so much room. Make sure you check out the sale section on the second story!

Quail Ridge has been my indie/local bookstore for a couple of years now, and they have never disappointed. As a matter of fact, they always go above and beyond. Everyone I've met that works there is so kind, ready to help, offer recommendations, and with a level of care/joy/consideration that is not easy to find these days. Special shout out to Emily as my daughter and I absolutely adore her! Some things they have you may be interested in: staff picks where staff read and offer their unspoiled review/recommendation, blind date with a book where books are wrapped with good descriptions of what the book is about on the front so you can make an informed decision, book clubs, an annual membership that gives you discounts, author events, and many special events offered throughout the year. I'm sure I'm missing things. Haha My favorite is their author events where there is usually a Q&A with the author and sometimes an author signing. I have been to almost 10 and each one is well organized and a great time! Last but not least, check out their website where you can request signed books from some of the local authors they work with!

This is like the best version of an old school Barnes n Noble (but indie!) It’s huge with a distinct new book smell that fills all the best shops. When I went it bustling with adults and children browsing and chatting. It’s filled with trinkets, and bookseller recommendations and displays of recent arrivals. They were setting up for a big book signing later on, and advertising more events and reading groups as well, there was a sign about building community. I didn’t stay long (I bought ‘The Book of Love’ by Kelly Link on sale) but I wish I could live there. A real gem.
