Honestly, it’s just okay. The meat is good, and the sides are decent, but nothing mind-blowing. The sauces are pretty solid, though. The service is friendly, but they kinda rush you to finish eating, which isn’t great for a place like this. It’s just not worth the price or the hype, especially with the vibe and everything. Wouldn’t really recommend it.

This was our third time at Quarters Korean BBQ in LA, and it just keeps getting better. The vibe is fun, the service is solid, and the food? Seriously delicious. This time around they had a new (and free!) side dish – kimchi pancakes – and wow, they were a great surprise. Super flavorful and crispy, definitely hope they keep those around. We ordered Combo 1 like we usually do, and as always, it was amazing. Perfect portions, high-quality meat, and they grill it right in front of you. The kimchi soup was 🔥 – a solid 10/10 if you love spicy dishes. Pro tip: Make a reservation if you can. It gets really busy, especially on weekends. Highly recommend for Korean BBQ lovers or anyone looking to try something fun and delicious!

Quarters Korean has a fun atmosphere, but overall I felt it wasn’t really worth the hype. Most of the meats are marinated and on the sweeter side, we ordered a combo and the portion was actually pretty small considering the price, definitely on the expensive side 💰 On top of that, we waited a long time to be seated although we already have an online reservation and even longer to get the check, which was frustrating. They do grill the meat for you, which is nice if you just want to relax and chat with friends, and the vibe is lively with drinks available. Parking exists but is very limited during meal times. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for atmosphere, but personally I don’t think it’s worth the long wait and high price.

Always love coming to this spot — there’s pretty much always a wait, which says a lot. Even on a random Monday evening, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. We had a group of five and ordered the large combo along with beef tongue and boneless beef short rib. The meat quality is solid, and one of the best parts is that they cook everything for you, so you can just relax and enjoy. They’re also great about refilling the banchan and give you a side of cheese for dipping your meats, which is a nice touch. Service was excellent, and overall it’s a reliable go-to for KBBQ with good quality and consistency. Just make sure to leave your name down and take a stroll around the plaza while you wait.

Compared to other higher end Korean BBQ’s, not sure Quarters stands out at all. The wait was ridiculous and service was bad to non existent. They did cook our meats, but wasn’t too happy about it :). Quality of the meats were decent and do like the combo options, but not sure I would go back due to service and wait. Too many other places to try and or get my repeat business because of better service. Do not regret trying the place and might go back for a “party” night because they do have music and drinks while you wait. Parking was tough too, but expected for K-Town.

For friends seeking a dynamic venue where the focus is on connection as much as cuisine, Quarters Korean BBQ offers the perfect backdrop for memorable nights out.

What activities await groups at Quarters Korean BBQ, and why is it perfect for a group meetup? Quarters Korean BBQ is designed for a social dining experience, featuring quarter-pound portions of various marinated meats served tapas-style that encourage sharing and tasting. This layout invites conversation as the group samples and compares different cuts, ranging from marinated short ribs to thick ribeyes grilled to medium-rare perfection by the staff. With servers expertly managing the grill, guests can engage more with each other rather than toggling between cooking and eating. The menu also includes fun fusion twists, such as a melted orange cheese fondue for dipping meats and sides like creamy broccoli salad, offering more variety for group palates. The restaurant's spacious, modern décor and casual dress code make it an accessible, comfortable environment for any group size. Whether celebrating a birthday or just catching up on a weekend, the continuous flow of food and drinks paired with attentive service creates a seamless, enjoyable experience perfect for group bonding.

How does the food and drink selection at Quarters Korean BBQ enhance the group dining experience? Food here is catered to shareability and variety, which is ideal for groups wanting to try a range of flavors together. Serving meats in manageable quarter-pound portions allows everyone to sample different styles without overload, keeping the meal exciting and communal. Popular choices include the marinated short rib that deepens in flavor as it grills and the thick ribeye that servers slice at the precise medium-rare moment, ensuring each bite is tender and juicy. Beyond traditional barbecue, Quarters integrates fusion elements such as their signature cheese fondue, which adds an indulgent twist to the meal and sparks conversation around a shared dipping experience. The sides, while sometimes described as a mixed bag, offer additional textures and flavors to complement the grilled meats. On the drinks side, the full bar delivers creative cocktails like the Quarters Rita that combine classic flavors with playful twists, enhancing the festive atmosphere and giving groups a reason to toast and linger longer.

Why is the service at Quarters Korean BBQ particularly suited for groups? One of Quarters’ standout features is its attentive, fast-paced service, which is especially valuable when dining with friends or family. From timely refills of drinks to quick responses in bringing extra banchan (side dishes), the staff ensures the group’s needs are met without delay. Importantly, the servers take full responsibility for grilling the meat, a service not always seen in Korean BBQ venues. This not only guarantees that meats are cooked expertly and consistently but also means the group can keep conversations fluid and uninterrupted without the distractions often caused by managing the grill themselves. Such attentive care allows groups to focus on enjoying the company and the food simultaneously. Even during busy times, when wait times can extend up to two hours, the staff’s efficiency helps keep the dining experience smooth and enjoyable once seated.

What makes Quarters Korean BBQ a crowd-pleasing choice despite high demand and wait times? Quarters has built a reputation as a “gateway drug” to Korean barbecue for groups seeking both traditional flavors and a modern dining twist. Its popularity means walk-up wait times can be significant, sometimes averaging two hours on busy nights, but reservations available a week in advance often alleviate this hurdle for planned group meetups. The atmosphere is energizing, drawing a mix of families and young, fun-loving crowds, which makes it easy for guests to feel part of a communal dining experience. The restaurant's location in Koreatown places it at the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, and its proximity to nightlife and other attractions enhances its appeal as a social hub. While some diners may find the meat quality falls short of the highest-tier Korean BBQ, the overall package of atmosphere, service, and unique menu elements ensures groups leave satisfied and eager to return. For celebrations, casual hangouts, or nights out, Quarters Korean BBQ delivers an inclusive experience that balances tradition with a crowd-pleasing modern twist.
