Why Radrick Farms Golf Course is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Radrick Farms Golf Course, located just east of Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a premier golfing destination renowned for both its rich history and stunning design. Established in the mid-1960s, the course was crafted by the legendary architect Pete Dye, with input from Alice Dye, making it one of the earliest examples of their work. Situated on a restored 275-acre former gravel quarry, the course spans 107 acres of meticulously maintained turf that showcases nearly 100 feet of natural elevation changes, providing a visually striking and challenging layout. Radrick Farms is one of the two University of Michigan golf facilities, serving both university staff and alumni as well as guests, offering a championship-caliber 18-hole course over 6,967 yards. The course's distinctive greens include several uniquely shaped undulations, such as the famous 14th green inspired by Edvard Munch’s "The Scream," which adds character and challenge to the game. This design nuance attracts golfers who enjoy strategically tough and interesting putting surfaces. The facility also hosts leagues and maintains a driving range, fostering a community atmosphere that makes it ideal for meeting up with friends who share a passion for golf. With friendly staff, excellent course conditions, and an accessible yet sophisticated challenge, Radrick Farms is a favored spot for both casual rounds and more competitive play in Michigan.

Bucket list golf course. It was a beautiful day. Course in great shape. Very rolling terrain. Scenic. Nice but small driving range. Hit off mats though. Nice putting green. Small clubhouse. Slightly disappointed at turn to find limited lunch options. Some small cold vegetarian options. Snacks. That was it. Sand traps have white sand. Greens were quick but broke a lot. Lot of tee options to play to your handicap. They also have hybrid tee options. Overall live it. Not 5 star because of no turn food. Bag drop at top or will have a long carry to the top from parking lots.

Beautiful Pete Dye course. A friend and I got paired up with another "member", nice gentleman and we played 9 twilight. Greens are big and tricky. Course was in good shape for early November. Will definitely go back.

Wasn’t impressed with greens at all. Slow as molasses…. As a guest you pay a premium and was not even worth half of what I paid. Was disappointed for my first time. Course had a nice layout out though with some tight fairways on the back nine
