Really enjoyed the tasty and tender chicken fingers with the Cane sauce, and the flavourful and fluffy toasted bread. The coleslaw and fries were decent too. The service was really efficient and quick despite the place being really busy and crowded. Also loved the DJ vibe and music at the eatery!

This is the first NYC location. Huge lines and place was packed when I visited few weeks after the grand opening. The restaurant is very lively and has a great atmosphere which aligns well with being in time square. There is a live DJ in the restaurant and lots of Raising Canes merch available to purchase. I am a big raising canes fan but the food at this location was average.. chicken was bland compared to past Canes I've visited. You must try the Cane sauce, it is worth it. The wait was longer than usual but that was expected for a location like this. Despite the size of the location, it did take us a few minutes of waiting to find seating. Expect to take out and eat somewhere else instead of dining in with how much people come here.

Raising Cane’s Chicken in Times Square serves up juicy tenders with that signature Cane’s Sauce that hits the spot! The toast and crinkle-cut fries are solid sides. It’s quick, tasty, and the vibe is lively. Slightly crowded and limited seating, but worth it for a fast, flavorful chicken fix. 🐔🍟

The food and location were spot-on — crispy chicken fingers and crinkle-cut fries hit the mark, and the vibe was lively with great music and even a DJ on site, which added a fun twist to the fast-food experience. Unfortunately, the seating situation was a letdown. It was hard to find a clean table, and despite asking multiple staff members for help, no one ever came to wipe it down. That lack of responsiveness was disappointing and took away from an otherwise enjoyable visit. If you’re grabbing a quick bite and don’t mind a bit of chaos, it’s worth a stop. But if you’re hoping for a clean, comfortable dine-in experience, you might want to plan for takeout instead.

Raising Cane’s Times Square (Global Flagship) is so much fun! There’s a live DJ playing great music, which makes the vibe super energetic. The chicken fingers are juicy, fresh, and perfectly fried. Cane’s Sauce goes so well with it. Fries are crispy and the buttered toast is delicious too. Plenty of seating inside and the service is fast, even when the place is packed. Highly recommended if you’re around Times Square!

Why is Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers known for its quality and focused menu?

Founded in 1996 by Todd Graves, who started with a simple vision developed in college, Raising Cane’s has grown by perfecting a single product rather than spreading too thin with multiple options. The chicken fingers are hand-battered and freshly cooked to order, ensuring a crispy outside and tender inside—qualities that customers repeatedly praise. The sides—carefully chosen to pair perfectly with the chicken—whether it’s the crinkle-cut fries or buttery Texas toast, contribute to a well-rounded eating experience without complicating the choices. How has Raising Cane’s grown from its origins to a national sensation?
Raising Cane’s journey from a single Baton Rouge location to a national and international sensation is a story of resilience, persistence, and smart focus. Todd Graves, the founder, developed the concept in college but faced skepticism from professors and bankers alike who doubted the viability of a restaurant focusing only on chicken fingers. Undeterred, he worked demanding jobs in oil refineries and commercial fishing to finance the first restaurant, which opened in 1996 near Louisiana State University. From that humble start, the brand quickly gained traction among locals, especially college students, due to its crave-worthy food and fast, friendly service. Expansion followed steadily – by the early 2000s, multiple locations had opened around Louisiana and neighboring states. Despite setbacks like Hurricane Katrina damaging many outlets, the company persevered, ultimately growing to over 800 locations across more than 40 states as well as internationally, with spots in Kuwait and Dubai. This large-scale growth is remarkable, considering Raising Cane’s stayed true to its core product rather than drifting into menu complexity. The founder’s vision and unrelenting focus helped build a billion-dollar brand beloved by “Canaics.” This story adds to the appeal as a community gathering spot rooted in authentic success.
