Rancho San Antonio is a hidden gem. I took the Meadow Trail loop down to the farm and back, and it was such a rewarding hike. The whole loop took me about an hour, which made it perfect for a short but scenic outing. The trail itself is well-maintained with beautiful open views and some gentle hills, nothing too intense. Along the way, I got to see people riding horses too, which I love seeing. The highlight was definitely the Deer Hollow Farm. It felt like stepping into a countryside storybook. The baby goats were absolutely adorable, and the whole farm had a welcoming, relaxed vibe. It’s the perfect spot to take a breather and just enjoy nature and animals up close. This is a fantastic trail for solo hikers, families, or anyone wanting a bit of nature therapy without going too far off the grid. Plenty of parking available. This park doesn’t allow dogs.

Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve is truly a gem nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley. We’ve visited this stunning park a couple of times now, and each experience has been more memorable than the last! One of the highlights is definitely Deer Hollow Farm, a charming and educational spot within the park that brings you up close to friendly farm animals like goats, sheep, chickens, and cows. It’s a hit with kids and adults alike, especially on days when the farm hosts tours — such a delightful and enriching experience! Last time, we hiked the Deer Hollow Farm Loop Trail, which was scenic and peaceful. Today, we took it up a notch with the High Meadow Loop via Lower Meadow Trail — a moderately challenging route that gradually gains elevation. The reward? An epic panoramic view at the Upper High Meadow Vista Point that makes every step worth it. We completed the loop via the Canyon Trail, which turned out to be a favorite. This trail offers plenty of shade, a lovely spring of water along the way, and glimpses of the PG&E Trail cutting across the hills. It’s serene, refreshing, and much more enjoyable coming downhill. Whether you’re in the mood for a hike, a relaxing family outing, or just a chance to connect with nature and adorable farm animals, Rancho San Antonio has it all. With so many trails still to explore, we’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended for hikers, families, and anyone who loves the outdoors.

It's a nice hike near the Sunnyvale-Cupertino area Lots of land. Parking is limited, but you get it usually. If they can add more water fountains and a couple of restrooms, then it will become a perfect place

Great trails for hiking and running - nicely maintained crushed rock and dirt. Fun to see wildlife on the run. Some trails are a bit steep and can get muddy and slick if wet. Good parking and reasonable (basic) restrooms.

Came here with a friend, and brought my camera along for a photography class assignment. Even though it was a weekend and parking was tricky, the trail we went on was still quiet and peaceful. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway and even better for photography! Been meaning to visit for a long time and so glad I finally did.
