Ranjana was a lovely host for this wonderful class. While it's true, it's held in her house, it was a fantastic learning experience as well as an entertaining evening. Unlike some cooking classes, Ranjana lets you get your hands dirty and help make the whole meal while she regales you with stories about her life moving from India to Chicago, her husband's acting and improv classes, and her work as a Psychiatrist before she retired. The dishes we made were quite varied: pani puri, pav bhaji, aloo, and kulfi for dessert. Ranjana showed us how to do some things and then set each of us off to start working on different dishes she thought we could handle. Ultimately, we ended up eating a ton of great food and laughing with Ranjana and her husband will into the night. I highly recommend giving this class a try if you love (or even just like) Indian food!
