Cool place to look at, but to possibly to get close to it you will have to pay the enterance fee into the garden. You can see it from a trail outside of the gardens, but you can't get right up to it. There are some great views you can get from this trail. I've got some photos, I'll add later.

Beautiful little hike, even on a cool spring rainy day! Ended up on a completely different (unmarked) trail high on the ridge where we watched the wind blow the grass like waves on the sea! Absolutely beautiful!

Need to go on a small hike to reach this place. Perfectly doable, just bring a bottle of water with you. Has three benches along the way for you to sit and rest. Nothing spectacular, just an old ruined house. But the history surrounding it is interesting.

Few people believe me when I tell them that the place exists. Next time you go to Red Butte Garden ask which trail goes up there. It and the old quarry can also be viewed from outside the Red Butte fence from trails behind the museum and the Garden.
