Absolutely fantastic! We took the Hamilton / Washington tour with Bruce. If Bruce had been my high school history teacher I would have been a history major. Fascinating information told in an entertaining fashion. Bruce ensures you are as comfortable as possible during the tour. Not too much walking maybe a mile or so and one spot had a place to sit.

This is my THIRD walking tour with Bruce and it was just as great as the other 2!! I would never have gone to this part of Central Park (above 100th St) but Bruce's tour was safe, fun and very educational for all ages. He is a wealth of important and obscure facts and tells history in an engaging and fun way. I plan on taking the Lower Central Park Tour this summer. Do yourself a favor- or give it as a gift- and book one of his tours! This is for First time New Yorkers as well as Life time New Yorkers. I guarantee you do not know the history that he covers in such a relevant and engaging way! We had a blast and met such interesting people on his tour!

Bruce is the best tour guide I have ever met. There are many great things about him – he is extremely knowledgeable, warm, fun, accommodating and very organised (I love the pictures he uses to enhance his story telling). He has a huge enthusiasm for New York, a love for learning and a generosity to the people he meets. To fit in our schedule (and to allow my family to ask lots of questions), we booked Bruce for 4 private tours (we had read a lot of reviews where people regretted not being able to do more tours with Bruce). All the tours were fantastic. We went on the Washington Hamilton tour, the Brooklyn Bridge tour, a modified lower Central Park tour and a custom designed mid-town tour. My teenagers can be a hard audience, especially my son who sometimes thinks he can spot mistakes in what tour guides are saying. Bruce impressed them both, in fact, he is named as one of the highlights of our trip. My husband has shown everyone his photo of the grid marker in Central Park - its his favourite story from our time away. Anyone considering booking with Bruce should do it now (and book multiple tours – as they are all exceptional). I recommend a private tour if you cant make one of the public ones.
