We went to Elmwood Theater to see Dune. We needed proof of vaccination (that was important to us), and a mask to enter. I like that Elmwood is a vintage theater. It has been around for over 100 years. It has style. When you go, make sure to check out the bathrooms. We also found the seats quite comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Also, I liked how clean and well maintained the grounds are. Something that could use improvement is the sound insulation. In the quiet parts of our movie, we could hear explosive sounds from the other theater. I recommend going to Elmwood Theater!

We went spur of the moment and were greeted warmly, assisted with lighting on the aisle, and offered help getting food/drink which we didn't take Comfortable seats tho not recliners and a responsive collect of movie viewers

Excellent film, decent wine and bottled water. Popcorn oversalted, very traditional yellow stuff. I would return to this art house film theatre in the future. I 💕 the art deco decor.

One of my faves. But also every old person in Berkeley will come here opening night and they are all slow and awkward (respectful! Decent people! ) but if you have more pep in your step than a 80 year old woman, maybe try a different spot on opening night.
