Really enjoyed the public tour. Only $5 extra. I always visit every guided age mansion everywhere I go. This one is exceptionally priced. Very impressive first floor, complete with original furniture. The other floors, while still exquisite in craftsmanship and materials lacks any of the original furniture or decor. They are very empty. Although the 2nd floor will generally be filled with special museum exhibits, ie they were working on getting a Tiffany exhibit in place. Overall I was really glad I got to spend some time here.

Taking your time through all 3 floors, expect about 1.5-2 hours of time, pending how long you observe each room and its contents. If the weather is good enough to wear something nice, the photo opps are endless. **If you bring a bookbag, you must wear it on your front so you don't knock things over when turning around. This is a requirement and not optional.**
