I’m disappointed with my experience at Ride Panda. When I visited the SLU store to test the bike, I explained that I wasn’t sure if I’d have a place to store the bike at home. I specifically asked if I could cancel if it didn’t work out, and the staff reassured me that I could book and cancel within the first month if needed. Trusting what they told me, I went ahead and paid the deposit. One important detail is that they said it would take about six weeks for the bike to be delivered, which is why I agreed to pay right away — because of the long lead time. I didn’t want to lose my spot, but I also thought I’d have flexibility to cancel if I couldn’t arrange proper storage. Later, when I tried to cancel within the first month (just as I was told I could), they informed me that the deposit was non-refundable, pointing to the written policy. Unfortunately, this was never explained to me clearly at the store. I feel misled by the staff and disappointed that Ride Panda didn’t honor the assurances given in person. If the policy is strict and deposits are non-refundable, that should be clearly communicated upfront, not contradicted by what staff tell you in the store.

This particular location's staff is really amazing! However, when you try to get in touch with them either by phone or email, they usually connect you to some kind of central call center. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there’s a direct way to actually get through to people who work at the local hub. And they don't offer any options for transferring the call to someone who's more familiar with that specific location either. I suspect the representatives in the central call centers are pretty good at handling standard customer support issues, like those related to bills or general inquiries. But when you try to ask something more detailed or that requires specific knowledge about the local operations, things can get pretty confusing, and unfortunately, it's usually difficult to get through to the people who actually have that expertise.

They try to get you on everything that could easily be wear and tear. Pretty bad business model if you can’t take acceptable losses from people riding their commuter bikes “somewhat hard”. When brought up to the mechanic he mentioned he was doing me a favor by not adding more things to the list.

Friendly staff, but I recommend taking photos of the bike before you start leasing it. When my lease ended, they charged me for puncturing the saddle, which I'm 98% sure I didn't do. I rode the bike a grand total of two times and didn't fall, lean the saddle against sharp objects, or sit on the saddle with any sharp objects. Therefore, I believe the damage was pre-existing or occurred after I returned the bike.

This is the best place to rent bikes. I came here from the Amazon program and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and quick. I set up a test ride and ended up signing a lease for an e-bike the same day! This included a helmet, bike lock, and they even gave me a flashlight for the front of the bike to ride at night. Super convenient shop to stop by and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to use their bike benefit.
