This is the ONLY ski and board shop to visit in Atlanta. I got my ski boots years ago from Peter Glenn, and it turns out they were a full size too big for me! I had issues as the boots expanded but had no idea that the overall size was the problem till the folks at Rocky Mountain pointed it out and put me in a pair that ACTUALLY fit me! Be sure to see Gary - he has been fitting people in boots since 1980. Whats great too is they’ll know the boots came from them (they mark the sole) and will adjust them again anytime, for life. They have a full service shop too for repairs, waxing, edging, etc. Great selection of gear too, and super helpful staff. Even got to watch the UGA game while getting fitted. Definitely a great experience!

Got boots fitted with Gerry and couldn’t be any happier. Cool man and definitely knew his stuff. Did not feel like he was up selling at all. Got my ski bindings mounted and they were very quick and helpful. Would recommend to anyone in Atlanta

I really like this store and their expertise! Each time I go in I am amazed by their level of service and knowledge. I’ve never felt like they were just trying to sell me stuff and a few time I’ve been talked out of a purchase and told “you should stick with what you have”. I’d like to share a few of my experiences. One time after checking out, the clerk realized he made a mistake and overcharged me and stopped me from walking out the door and gave me the difference in cash that was his error. Very honest! On another occasion, I took my kids in to get outfitted for some ski gear and my youngest daughter, who is five years old brought her teddy bear in and the staff was asking about her teddy bear and she said her teddy bears name was “Sparkles” (please see photo. after we got all of our gear and we were in the car headed out of town for our trip my five-year-old realized she had left her teddy bear Sparkles at the store. All I can say is holy five-year-old meltdown! I was able to calm her with a promise that I would go back to the store and get sparkles when we returned. When I was back in town, it took two or three weeks for me to return and I was a little nervous that I would not be able to make good on my promise to her and Sparkles would be lost forever. When at the store I asked about the teddy bear and with so much excitement. Several of the staff were overjoyed to tell me that sparkles was in good hands, and they’ve been holding and waiting on our return. Even had a little note that sparkles was waiting for her mom to return to pick her up. These people truly go above and beyond and give a level of service that I have not found in almost any other retail establishment. If I could give more stars, I would! Customer for life!

I called this store on Friday morning and spoke with a woman over the phone to confirm whether they offered binding mount services and boot molding. She assured me that they did. I then asked if an appointment was necessary, and again, I was told no—just show up during normal business hours. While that struck me as an odd way to run things, I took her at her word and said we’d be there the next day. On Saturday, we packed up our skis, bindings, and boots and made the trip from Birmingham, Alabama. Due to traffic from the 285 closure, it took us over five hours to get there—but we still managed to arrive 30 minutes before closing. We explained our situation to the staff, including the fact that we had driven all the way from Birmingham, only to be laughed at and dismissed. They offered no help, no understanding, and certainly no customer service. We left with nothing accomplished—just frustration and wasted time. I cannot overstate how disappointing this experience was. This business will never receive a single dollar from me, and I will make sure others know how little regard they have for the people who try to support them. Based on our experience, it’s no surprise they’ve had to diversify into something completely unrelated like patio furniture just to stay afloat. If you’re looking for a ski shop that actually respects its customers, check out Dodge City Ski Shop in Chattanooga. They’re the oldest ski shop in the South for a reason—friendly, knowledgeable staff, great service, and they actually care about your experience. Save yourself the time and headache, and give your business to a place that deserves it.

If you're looking for the best ski boot fitting experience, this is the only place to go! Gary went above and beyond to adjust my ski boots, which previously didn’t fit quite right. His expertise and attention to detail have made all the difference—I now feel confident and comfortable heading into my trip this year. Highly recommend!
