My wife and I have been coming to The Book Pub for years for the Lit Mic Nights. The location used to be an Irish Pub and still has some of the same decorations are still here. The place is chock a block full of lonely books in need of a forever home. It is quirky Portland at its best. The beer and mixed drinks are top notch. They need a good burger, but the food is good. My wife likes the fries.

Cool bookstore pub on Fremont. A lot of other spots on the same street but this is pretty unique. Great selection of beers as well as hot teas. The staffvis very helpful and knowledgeable about them. Food selections too but I didn't try any. Lots of cool seating areas and you can browse and buy any of the books here. Very nice spot for visiting with friends or just chilling out. Definitely a spot to visit again.

One guy working the register, taking orders, cooking, and serving. Friendly. Set the mood with Miles Davis "All of You." 😍 Two customers ahead of me, so food took a minute. All good... took my Hazy and checked out the table nooks, including the "secret passage" behind the rear bookcases. Options: Private table with bookcases on two sides or a community tables flanked by chunky church pews. Landed on a nook toward the back. Ancient tapestry chairs and books—a micro library for one. Turkey melt sandwich—a little elevated for a pub with dark salad greens, crunchy-soft baguette. Fig chunks a bit like candy 😬—light touch of fig jam would be better. Stayed long enough to have a (massive) pot of tea. A folk band arrived. The place filled up, becoming more "pub" than "book-y." Dancing. Fiddle player middle of the crowd. Such a fun vibe!
