I am an ice cream fanatic. This place deserves all its hype. Yes, there is a timed drop for this ice cream and it does sell fast, but it truly is for good reason because it is great. You can’t go here and order it like you do at another ice cream place like Sweet Cow or Little Man’s and you have to get either a pint or half pint. Go for the pint though you won’t regret it. Interesting flavors with mix ins that just taste so good. As ice cream goes 9.5/10.

I've purchased 3 flavors. This ice cresm is amazing! If you like lots of mix ins this is for you. It is hard to get for a reason. Definitely some of the best ice cream I've had.

This isn't an ice cream restaurant as much as an ice cream store where you order/pay in advance and then pick it up at the location later in the week. Circus cookie is way too sweet and kind of artificial tasting. Grandma's Toffee has an excellent vanilla base with toffee swirls of the perfect sweetness and richness. I don't like crunchy things in my ice cream but I still really liked the pecans. Puppy chow has a really good peanut ice cream base that's rich and intense but with all the mixins, it's just too sweet. Crunch berry was a surprise. I didn't think I'd like it but it was not as sweet as I feared, no big crunchy bits, and the jam was just right.

does every monday at 10am feel like i’m in the hunger games? yes. is it worth it? yes. i’m a firm believer in being able to taste the love and passion people put in their food. sadboy is richer than a regular ice cream, but lighter than a frozen custard. every pint is perfectly balanced (imo), and the homemade quality really shines, especially in fruity flavors that feature homemade purées and jams. tl;dr i would get into my first fistfight if one (1) pint of sadboy was on the line.

I love everything about Sadboy! As an earlier customer, I’ve gotten to see Sadboy grow - when I first purchased, there were maybe 2 flavors each week and now there are like 5 or 6! I don’t know any other place you can get such unique and delicious flavors. And the quality is PRIMO! I see Sadboy stickers everywhere now and it’s always a great way to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Picking up my order is the highlight of my week, and everyone is always so kind. If ice cream is your love language (my friends know) and/or you are just a freak about the best food group, YOU MUST, give Sadboy a try. You will not regret it!
