Always been a favorite! But I must point out some things that need work and attention to detail. The booths are very old and seats are ripping. Feel the wires poking through. We had to move ourselves to a less “uncomfortable” table. Still old seats. We had to just move without asking because the waitress would not look our way so we could tell her. After we moved, she still didn’t look and didn’t come!! Next, we waited a long time until I got tired and went up to the front counter. Because we were going to miss the lunch special by this time! Finally a waitress comes. Takes our order and disappeared. There were 3 people in our party but only gave us us 2 menus. Even if it’s a minor, still a person right? No water, no silverware, no straws, no sugar, basic stuff. Asked for to go boxes. Brought them and no bag so how am I to carry this food conveniently? We had to keep calling them over for basic things like napkins. The food was good as always but the pad Thai was lacking flavor and chicken. It was packed with rice noodles though. I liked the Kani salad more. It seemed to me that they are understaffed and employees were rushing through every table. Definitely will re-think before coming back here.

Just a big WOW for me. A pleasant surprise in my neighborhood. Well prepared dishes and the attention to detail was perfect 👌🏾. Had tempura appetizer teriyaki fish, Spicy Tuna roll, miso, and Bento Box. 1 server kept the whole beautifully decorated restaurant happy. Sushi chefs prepared right in front of us and it was all good!

We have ordered Door Dash twice from here while my son had pneumonia. We love the soups and sushi. My sons really love sharing the Hibachi rice as well. It is enough to share and then some.

こんにちは私の友人 (Kon'nichiwa watashi no yūjin)!!! Update.. 08/24 - still killin it but i had to take a single star away since they have become quite expensive! Again, it is one of my favorite sushi restaurants, but the price of the sashimi is outrageous! My top spot Akashi in RTP near my house does BOGO rolls, and you get 3 pieces of sashimi or 2 pieces of nigiri for $3.75 - $5.00 and I promise, the quality is just as good if not better.. Sake House, PLEASE add just 1 more piece of sashimi per order for the $4-$5 you are charging.. Akashi in RTP even gives me 2, very nice, thick pieces of O-toro for $10-$11! 08/23 - Still one of the 2 absolute best BOGO Sushi restaurants within an hours' drive amd that is is coming from someone who's eaten sushi around tue world!!! Stop sleeping on this place, people!!! Adding several new photos! The only other BOGO sushi spot that I enjoy around around here is Akashi, in RTP/ Durham. P.S. if you are a "bougie" foodie like me, you will still enjoy this spot. However, don't be a dummy and compliant about what you get as a BIY ONE GET ONE FREE! 😂. You did yourself an injustice by expecting Michelin star dishes for a $60 tab, folks.. I and my wife also frequent M Sushi in Durham, and you can't even have a good date night for less than $200+, so again, please, get over your tiny pockets! LMFAO 🤣 01/22 - I'll start out by saying I've lived in the Triangle for 20 years, have traveled across the country and internationally multiple times, and have eaten Sushi everywhere I've gone (I'VE EVEN BEEN TO ASIA)! I've also been to 25-30 sushi/ Japanese restaurants in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, RTP, Cary, Morrisville, etc.. So I just took 3 of my best friends to Sake House tonight, and we all had a great time, DELICIOUS food, and excellent customer service! I have known Chris (the former manager) over 15 years now, and now I know Angela (the current manager). As a matter of fact, I have never been to Sake House and had a bad experience! One of my friends didn't even care much for Sushi/ Sashimi, and that's all he ate and still loved it as a first-timer!! I'm glad to say he's a changed man now and loves sushi! No offense to them by any means as I LOVE their food but I would rate Sake House number 4 or maybe 5 on my list next to: #1 M Sushi, #2 Waraji (go see Masa or Joo-Joo (sushi chefs at the sushi counter/ bar (tell them Wes and Esra sent you)). #3 City Market Sushi (again, you get what you pay for, so be ready to spend $125-$250 on a nice date night for 2 at these 3 locations). I'm also torn between my #4 and #5 as my everyday sushi/ sashimi restaurant being Akashi and Sake House! My fiancé and I have been to all of these places at least 5-20 times!!! With that said, my friends and I all ordered Sake, Beers, Sushi rolls, Sashimi, etc. (They are best known for their sushi and sashimi)! I hate to say it, too, but I wouldn't go there for any of the other food since there are plenty of other restaurants that specialize in those. I've been ordering sushi and sashimi here for close to 20 years, so that's gotta tell the tale itself! Again, Sake House specializes in sushi, sashimi, nigiri, Maki, etc. HINT: I've been going to Sake House for close to 20 years now, and you can get the deluxe Sashimi dinner for $30 bucks, but you also get 15/16 pieces of sashimi, which means it brings the cost down to $2 a piece! Now that's a deal I can get down with 2-3 times a week! 👍🏻😉 Most other places charge $4-$9 per piece for their sashimi! Here's a few pictures to tantalize your taste buds!!! 😋 P.S.. Shame on anyone who ever went here, had good experiences, didn't write a good review, and then went back on another occasion and had what they felt was not a good experience and wrote a bad review! No one can be perfect 100% of the time, and you know you aren't either!
