The food was good, and Christina, the bartender, was awesome—super attentive and friendly. Some of the other staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and forgetful, but they kept smiling, which was nice. They told us there’d be a 40-minute to an hour wait for a table, but we ended up getting seated in about 30 minutes. If you’re going in October, you might have to wait a bit, but it goes by fast. Enjoy!

We stopped off for lunch at Salems Retreat in Salem Massachusetts ( Parking is in back ). They have outside seating, but we chose to go inside. The place was half full when we got there, but we were able to get a table right away. The service from all the staff was awesome!! The cocktail I had picked was : Peanut Butter Whiskey Egg Nog. At first I took a sip and I was like. Mm Egg Nog with a hint of something but soo good... Not until you've sipped half of it do you finally taste some of the alcohol. That's what makes it so good. The entrée I had was Haddock and Sweet Potato fries ( fish and chips ). When I cut the Haddock with my fork steam rose up.You could smell how fresh it was. That first bite so nice and soft & flacky. I love that they use barely any breading and it kept it's full flavor the whole meal as well. I didn't even have to use any tartar sauce. The Sweet Potato fries were tender, hot and popping with flavor. There were no hard crunchy or burnt fries at all. There was so much I could no finish and had to take half of everything home. Hours later at night I had it for dinner, warmed them up and it still was just as good. I would definitely go back and give two thumbs 👍 👍. #NewEnglandEats

My girlfriend I were told it would be a 45 minute wait and it ended up being 1.5 hours. Then, when seated, we ordered and never saw our waiter again. My girlfriend got up and asked for the check. Not to mention the poached eggs were fully cooked through and again only saw our waiter once. Not worth it at all steer clear!!!!!!

Great food. Best corn beef hash I've ever had! The omelet, homefries, toast & unsweetened ice tea was great. So delicious and I can't wait to go back to try something else. The staff was on point. Quick, got everything right, very pleasant. Parking is in the back with a ramp going into the place which was great. Place was decorated nicely.
