This review is specifically for the donations department and reflects our experience on 8/5/2025. We called to give away our old furniture that we had. Unfortunately, they told us that the furniture was not in good enough condition to sell and they would not be able to take it, which is fine. However, during that experience my wife, who is pregnant slipped and fell on the stairs. The workers from the Salvation Army were laughing at her, didn’t offer to help, or even ask if she was ok. I would highly not recommend using their services in Miami due to their immaturity and lack of professionalism. Please donate elsewhere.

This is the worst place in my opinion they don't help you do a goddamn thing a disrespectful telling me I've been here for 2 months and haven't done anything with a job first of all in order to get a job you have to go through the whole process of getting a job orientation job opportunities and everything so it's really a slap in the face for them to say I haven't done anything this place is not worth it don't waste your time tf & Gwen is a very disrespectful case manager I feel like none are carrying and understanding it shouldn't matter how long it takes me to get a job as long as I get one in the end tf 😒 I can't stand this place they can really be shut down if you ask me all of these places workin together including the outreach for Miami Beach it's all set up to derail you get on these other races like Mexican Latinos and everything else doing whatever they may please but they make it hard on the black guy that's trying to do right let's talk about that why you're not getting on these other races of doing what they're supposed to I just feel in my opinion they just want to make me look bad & they let a guy spit on me I get kicked out for crashing out as if I was wrong it very much justified 💯 what I did even after warning them what would happen if he did such dumb thing to me am I right or wrong specifically said don't let him come in they did completely opposite

Good morning, I'm going to be honest and transparent. The staff in that place are disrespectful and unprofessional. I'm an ally in this wonderful country, but what is happening to us human beings who cannot live in love and harmony with each other? I was sleeping. on the street when a man gave me shelter. They took me to this wonderful place dedicated to helping human beings, but the help they give you there is a lie, the second day I was there they threw me out on the street, I am studying and because of my school I can't work 8 hours, they promised to help me and what they did was throw me out on the street

Everyone please note that this lady Gwendolyn Alvin is very extremely disrespectful not knowing who she is talking too. And very mean and nasty she is the district head manager for the salvation army. She is mean and rude her approach and delivery is a bad taste behind the business of salvation army entirely just to respectful and witnesses has testified that they have seen her in action in other's how her approach is towards the residents. She really is a mean person and her position needs to be taken from her and immediately. I've never been so humiliated disrespected and intimidated all in one time by someone. Her approach towards people has have to change and need to be addressed as soon as possible. I never had a bad experience with Salvation army at all. I'm normally helping at the salvation army.
