Stopped in for a refreshing drink as we were in the area. Not a lot of places were open on Fourth of July, but Sandy Hut was. Cute little bar with small outdoor seating area. It’s dark inside with minimal lighting. We ordered at the bar and took our drinks outside since it was a sunny day. We each ordered a green tea shot. Which was way more tart than we’ve ever had at any other place. Went back to try their coconut mezcalita but they didn’t have coconut, so I asked if they could make a spicy margarita and he said no. We ended up closing the tab after the green tea shot and went to a different bar. The bartender was nice. It’s a nice spot for a sunny day so we will probably be back since summer is here.

The sandy hit is definitely a staple in the area. Been around since I can't remember. The atmosphere is buzzing on the weekends. It has pool tables and lottery. Karaoke on the weekends I think. The security are always friendly and willing to give you a laugh when you enter, and a laugh when you leave. Nice group of guys. It's pretty busy there, but the bar tenders are on their game for sure. I highly recommend it. Haven't eaten there so can't really comment on the food. They also have two outside areas that you can take and enjoy your drinks or food at. You should check it out.

Low key dive bar. Cool pictures on the wall, a couple of pinballs, side patio. Standard dive bar that's been around over 100 years

My hubby and I had a great time @ Sandy Hut this evening, the staff were super kind and had great customer service and unlike a lot of other places we've visited to play video poker at, the bar tender, promptly was willing to serve me by getting change and cashing out my tickets, instead of taking care of everyone else before I can even get their attention! Super clean inside as well. Outside at the tables there was a few people who were smoking drugs, but that's, not Sandy Huts fault, the area has a lot to do with it! Oh and the fries and soft pretzels were a 10/10.
