This is a nice short hiking trail. Easy to stop in and walk a mile or two. The trees are amazing and it is home to a basswood preserve so keep your eyes open for those beauties. There is enough change in grade to provide some challenge, but not so much as to prohibit walking with kids,strollers, pets or seniors.

Adorable! However, we did not realize Dogs were prohibited until we arrived. I searched the County Website specifically to ensure we could take our dogs. Other reviews and pics allude to walking dogs... Maybe I missed a rules page somewhere. So I'm posting this to assist others looking for a place our furry friends can go too:) I'm not 100% certain that all County Preserve areas are No Dog zones but I've seen it at a few others as well.

UPDATE 2-26-25 ✨🥶🥶 Vast and good for running, walking, snow showing, etc. if you are running please put your head in a safe place. I lost mine running in the snow last night. 3 1/2 hrs in the dark I found them with my flashlight from my phone. Just saying a Vast place 💯 acres and acres
