This horse facility is truly a gem. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, making every visit a pleasure. The staff and community are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. My daughter absolutely loves it here—especially the horse shows, which are well-organized and fun for riders of all levels. We love the end of year awards lunch!! Our barn also trailers in to school for summer camp and we always feel welcomed.

Summer camp here is the most amazing experience with the most wonderful counsellors and helpers - not only are they wonderful at riding instruction, they also educate the kids on how to look after the horses. I was lucky enough to start riding at SHE in September of 2022 and I am so happy I did! The facilities are excellent, and the staff are even better. I have come so far in my riding, both in confidence and skill. Paulina is a wonderful instructor and the barn community is truly the best. Such a range of options from private lessons, group lessons, lease rides, as well as hosting many shows that are perfect for all skill levels of competitors! I am so thankful for Scissortail Hill Equestrian!

This is the first time I've rated a barn 5 stars, and it's not just because the facility provides dressage, hunter and jumper, cross country, trail obstacles, and trail riding. It's because Scissortail puts the well-being of all of their horses first. Lesson horses are professionally saddle-fitted, have their own bottles of fly spray in their assigned grooming boxes, and receive chiropractic care, massage, and even dental specialty care when needed. Some of these amazing lesson horses have been adopted from the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society or are OTTBs (see LoneStar Outreach to Place Ex-Racers.) Our lesson horses have work they enjoy but are not overworked, and the quality of care they receive shows in their athleticism through their senior years. Training is top notch! Paulina keeps up with the research in her field of study, continues her own learning, and excels in her ability to train others. Paulina is committed to her students and focused on building confident riders (and horses). This barn is 100% woman owned and has created a space for excellence, community, and competency centered on the welfare of the equines in their service. It's a place I'm proud to support and grateful to be a member of.
