This is a great "activity" path! It is so pretty going by the ponds, lakes, and golf courses! So inviting and you don't have to worry about car traffic or inhaling car exhaust when running, biking, skating, walking, etc! So many people out, happy and enjoying the beautiful outdoors, not to mention the beautiful views of the mountains! I wanted to yell out "FORE" a couple times, but I didn't haha!! The smell of the green grass was very welcoming instead of the stink of exhaust as previously mentioned! This path goes for miles! I personally was looking for distance and I got it!! Have fun, enjoy and be safe! You have one life.. live it!! :) Marie ~ advid runner/outdoor gal!

It might be the time of year but the urrent surroundings might be more interesting. There is no parking. I parked in the shopping center just north of the golf course. Then walked accross course. I was the only person in the nature area. The canal which borders on the south had jumping fish and quite a few ducks. The golf course had a sizeable number of young rabbits and a dozen Quail. The nature area had a number of fountains. The pressure was too high or low but in 106 degree heat+ direct sunlight the water was pleasantly cooled. Fountains had water dishes left by visitors and a 5 gallon water bottle. There were a small number of morning doves, 1 Prairy dog and a thousand prairydogs burrows.

Beautiful Canal walk for miles shared with a golf course. Great for biking running or even a walk. One of the many stopping points on the Maricopa Trail.

Lots of geocaching in this area thanks to a local geocache legend, cschooner. You can do a few miles and pick up a couple dozen caches. Plus there's lots of birdwatching. Perfect this time of year!

There's nothing but a golf course here. Rude people on carts trying to run me over on the sidewalk and a noise deli on one side. Very disappointing!
