One of the best parks in Scottsdale. Seriously the amount of joy that having GOOD parks with adequate shade, seating and activities gives to individuals, families and most importantly, kids, there should be one of these in every neighborhood. The only thing that could be so much better which is lacking in almost all parks is having shaded seating around the children's playground. Most families sit in the full glare of the sun, often on the ground, on fences or anything they can. It's uncomfortable and does not promote social interaction and no one wants to be under the direct sun for too long.

This park has a great variety of sports. A large number of the beach volleyball community comes here. The sand courts are made for twos lines. There’s tennis, soccer, baseball and other activities. The rating is dinged only for bathroom upkeep and timely posting of the reserved courts.

The Center is very nice locker rooms, plenty of Tennis courts, and hitting wall(s) the fences between courts could be a little longer.

My review of Scottsdale Ranch park. It is a totally amazing park with large mature shady trees to shade the many walk ways around the serenity of Desert Oak and Pine trees with plenty of picnic benches and extra large grills to accomodate lage gatherings. You will love how clean this park is. I think it has the best sand volleyball courts in the entire phoenix Valley. There is parking very close to the playground but the parking lot there is very well used and is very worn with pot holes. I loved that there was a pedestrian bridge that goes over the street for easy access to the outdoor mall across the street. There is a Planet Fitness there, so if you are a member, you can grab a massage on their massage chairs after your park day. There is also a preschool if you want to check you child in and also a dance studio that has a beautiful view out thier widows of the mountains there. A the park, there is an exercise stretching station that I really enjoyed. There were a lot of flowering desert friendly plants that gave beauty to the enjoyment of this park. The children's playground has wood chips. The play equipment is new and amazing. You can rock climb, spin, slide, swing and tunnel. The water fountain works. The your one for your water bottle, peope and one for your 4 legged child too. I'd say this was a Dog friendly Park. Plenty of dogdy clean up station and trash cans. Thle bathrooms were clean and modern. This park is perfect for large groups. There is a tennis center on the west most end of this park, that I believe is the largest in the Phoenix valley as well.
