This was such a fun experience! My fiance's 12 year old son came to visit for the summer and this was on our list of things to do. Everyone loved it! We got an explanation on how to drive the boat, where to take it, and were provided with a Bluetooth stereo. It was perfect. We watched planes fly in and even made some duck friends!

This was one of the best boating experiences we've had! The owners were incredibly nice, going above and beyond to help us navigate the boat and even assisting with the umbrella. The boat itself was a blast to use. We'll definitely be back!

We went as a family birthday party for a great two hour trip on the new Seattle Donut Boats. First thing to know- there is no donuts. The boat is shaped like a donut and you all sit around a table. There is a small electric motor that drives the boat and is both quiet and slow. LOL It took us around 1/2 hr. to get from South Lake Union to the Gasworks Park. We were passed by Kayakers, Paddle Boarders and all sorts of boats. Many took pictures of us in our cute Donut. Fortunately we picked a great day and it was not too hot with a slight overcast. They do have an umbrella over you which you can take down - it comes down easy - hand crank on bar holding it up. We brought Cheese and Meat with Cupcakes for dessert - to enjoy as we leisurely (very leisurely) cruised the lake enjoying the sites. It is a great way to get up close to the famous house boats, watching Seattle's skyline including the Space Needle and relax. I would recommend it for a nice relaxing day on the lake - but unless you are having a party, I would probably choose the one hour tour.

What activities can you enjoy on the Seattle Donut Boat?
Seattle Donut Boat is designed to infuse any gathering with enjoyable activities both on and near the water. The primary activity is, of course, piloting the boat itself—a slow-moving electric vessel that travels roughly at walking pace, making the experience relaxed and accessible. As the captain for your group, you get to steer through Lake Union’s scenic waterways, choosing routes that let you sightsee at your own leisure. The boat’s quiet motor means you won’t disturb the tranquil surroundings, which encourages wildlife spotting or simply soaking up the fresh air and city views.

Whether you want calm conversation time or an interactive cruise with music and games, Seattle Donut Boat offers flexible, engaging activities for all types of group meetups.

It also allows easy access to snacks, drinks, or portable entertainment—a feature appreciated by groups who want to customize their meetup to their tastes and preferences. The rental cost is reasonable compared to other waterborne activities, making it an affordable choice that doesn’t sacrifice experience quality.
