We used to love SF, but now it’s just SO WEIRD!! Very uncomfortable and awkward experience with Seattle Fabrics. It’s either online or will-call only. First the PROs: Great stuff. They sell quality materials. The CONs: It’s really an online experience but without being easy to use. Fabrics, cloth, fleece, webbing, cordage, etc… all needs to be seen and felt. But you can’t do that online. And no returns if the color isn’t right or if it feels funny or too light or too heavy… The WEIRD Will-Call: They are not open for you to actually SEE and FEEL their quality stuff. They won’t let you into the store. You can’t see colors, feel textures, or do any sort of browsing. You make your order online, then if in Seattle, you can go by and pick it up at this locked black gate. A person comes out and stands ten feet away and asks what you want. It’s creepy, it’s weird, it’s unexplainable. I asked… they mumbled things about the store being unsafe since Covid (I’m writing this in July 2025 by the way!). They are unsure if they’ll ever be open again. We used to love going there but the owners apparently have issues so whatever. It’s off to Amazon for us sadly.

One of the better sewing supplies outfits around, ESPECIALLY when it comes to outdoor equipment focused endeavors. Prices are always good, never had a problem with customer service. Most of my will calls are ready the same day. Really wish they would open the store for walk-ins again though.

Really looking forward to when they open for in-store shopping. But being able to order online and pick up next day is nice for Seattle people. Website needs some work. Checkout experience sometimes times out, and the site should have way more filters. Sailrite is the benchmark here. I've ordered from here a few times before and picked up in person. Tough neighborhood, I feel for the folks who work here. Maybe more consumer foot traffic would make the place safer.

Great selection of outdoor / technical fabrics and hardware (clips, latches, cordage, etc.) Despite the disclaimer on the site, will call orders have been ready next day in my experience. I hope they open up for in-store shopping at some point, but the availability and low price of sample packs are a decent option for the time being.

Where does it say anywhere that it's online only except outside the store? Nice drive from the south of Seattle for this.
