Great park with open space, a great playground, picnic benches, grills, and history. The nature reserve/gardens are locked up currently but just outside it are always cats, chickens and ducks. The park is right up against the Miami river. You can watch the bridge rise to allow ships through. I'd say this is a great place for kids and picnics, though beware some sections stay flooded after rains. Love it, it's a gem.

Whether you’re looking to go for a walk, have a picnic, or just enjoy nature, this park has something for everyone. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with a good mix of open areas and shaded spots under the trees. There were also plenty of benches and picnic tables, making it a great place to sit and take in the surroundings. Everything was clean and well-kept, from the walking paths to the playground areas. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. Definitely a great spot to visit, whether you're alone or with family and friends!

Nice shaded park! We enjoyed this park with our 3 year old. 2 play structures with different types of climbing bars, slides, swings, musical play, see-saw, merry go round and lots of room to run around. Parking lot had about 10 spots of free parking. Ducks and rooster were running around. Picnic tables and benches by the water to view the passing boats. I didn’t see bathrooms but there were a couple porta potties in the parking lot. Plenty of trash cans. Will definitely visit again.

SEWELL PARK IS OPEN AGAIN! After being closed for more than a year, it’s finally open. It’s a very relaxing park next to the Miami River. There are shaded seating areas and a play park for kids. It’s dog friendly and has poop bags and trash bins on site but no water stations. Parking is a bit limited and the area that was once available to launch kayaks is now blocked off. Great place to spend time nonetheless.
