One of the coolest experiences! First time having both, Korean bbq and hot pot at the same table ! We first did the Korean bbq we got several meats. My top two was the galbi and the spicy bulgogi. Then we did the hot hot pot. You get to choose the broth you want, and then get noodles, meats, veggies, & more from the salad bar. My favorite combo was the glass noodles with the top blade steak. Second was the ramen noodles with the seafood protein( lobster, shrimp, crab, & crawfish). They also have alcohol drinks I haven’t seen before ! Finished off with some Korean ice cream ! Service was great and the restaurant was clean which is always a plus !

This place is great. Didn't try the hotpot, but the bbq was amazing. It was my first time at a place like this. Our server, Debbie, was fantastic. She noticed that we were new to this because we were just cooking and eating the meat plain. She grabbed a bunch of sauces and veggies from the salad/sides bar and went to town showing us how it is supposed to be done. The flavor combinations were fantastic. They were all very helpful and the place had a great vibe. I will definitely be coming back.

What do you do when you want KBBQ but your wife wants hot pot shabu shabu? You come to Shabumi where each member of your party gets to choose between bbq or hot pot. This was our 2nd time here and my wife loves getting to have affordable hotpot while I get to eat bbq. The bbq meats are definitely cut thicker than the shabu shabu. The only downside is if you keep ordering the same meat over and over again, the quality of it worsens. So the first couple orders are tender and great quality, over time more tough and chewy. My wife loves the recommended kombu broth and adds hot sesame chili oil and green onion from the bar to it. The self serve protein seafood veggies sides bar is pretty extensive. Parking can get a little tight at times in the crowded lot but never had any problems.

If you want to make reservations for a large party you have to call at least a day ahead . I love this place. You can have your soup and bbq too. The staff eagerly serves you with precision and politeness . You can make your food exactly to your tastes. What a great place for vegans , gluten free, and meat eaters .

This place offers all you can eat for both hotpot and Korean BBQ. I did the Korean BBQ and my fiance did the hotpot. We were allowed to share food. Meats are delicious! Both hotpot and Korean BBQ are $39.99 per person.

The restaurant can be busy, often with a line waiting outside, turning the “wait” into part of the social outing and anticipation. Staff are described as friendly and efficient even during peak times, ensuring the group's needs are met without stress. Spacious seating, including options for outdoor covered areas, provides comfort for groups to linger for hours without feeling rushed. How does Shabumi accommodate different tastes and dietary preferences?

One of Shabumi’s greatest strengths for group gatherings is its capacity to satisfy a wide range of tastes and dietary needs thanks to its customizable hot pot and Korean BBQ concept. With an array of premium meats including various beef cuts and fresh seafood, alongside a myriad of vegetables and other ingredients at the salad bar, groups can easily cater to omnivores as well as pescatarians or vegetarians. The individual burners mean no cross-contamination concerns—if someone prefers vegetarian hot pot, they can have their own setup separate from meat-eaters. The variety of broths and extensive sauce bar allow diners to adjust spice levels and flavors according to personal preference, accommodating those who want mild, savory, or spicy. This makes Shabumi particularly suitable for mixed groups where dietary restrictions or preferences are common, ensuring everyone from meat lovers to vegetable enthusiasts can enjoy the meal equally. This inclusive approach not only broadens the appeal but also enhances the shared dining experience as people discover new flavor combinations together.

What makes the food quality at Shabumi stand out for group dining?

Shabumi prides itself on delivering fresh, high-quality ingredients that elevate the group dining experience beyond the usual buffet style. The restaurant sources premium meats, including tender beef brisket, top sirloin steak, and juicy beef belly, all prepared for grilling right at your table. The seafood selection includes options that can also be grilled or boiled for hot pot, delivering a fresh, authentic taste. The salad bar stocked with seafood options adds further fresh choices, providing both healthy and indulgent elements. Guests often praise the flavorful broths and the extensive variety of sauces, which complement these carefully selected ingredients and add depth and excitement to every bite. The freshness and quality ensure that each dish contributes to a satisfying meal, encouraging diners to explore the wide menu options and return for repeat visits. For groups, this guaranteed quality builds trust that everyone will find something delicious, reinforcing Shabumi as a top choice for friendly gatherings.

Why should you plan ahead before visiting Shabumi with a group?

Given Shabumi’s popularity, especially on weekends and evenings, planning ahead is crucial for a seamless group meetup. The restaurant is known to have lines out the door at peak times, so arriving with time to spare or making reservations (where possible) helps avoid long waits that could dampen the group's mood. Many guests consider queuing part of the adventure, but in the context of a larger party, waiting outside for too long can challenge patience, especially with children or during bad weather. Understanding the hours of operation – open well into the evening with later weekend hours – also enables groups to pick less busy times for a more relaxed experience. Informing your group about the noisy, bustling atmosphere helps set expectations so everyone arrives ready to enjoy the energetic vibe. Thoughtful preparation ensures the meetup starts smoothly and allows the group to dive straight into the fun of shared dining and catching up with friends or family.

How does Shabumi balance service quality with a busy environment?

Even amid a bustling dining room filled with the activity of grills and excited chatter, Shabumi manages to maintain attentive and friendly service that enhances the group dining experience. Servers are known to frequently check on guests, swiftly refilling drinks, helping with ingredient requests, and explaining menu options if needed. This high level of service is accomplished without interrupting the flow of the meal or drawing diners away from social engagement. Feedback from patrons highlights the staff’s cheerful attitude and readiness to assist, which is critical in a setting where multiple plates, grills, and cook times demand coordination. By ensuring the servers circulate regularly and keep tasks unobtrusive, Shabumi strikes an effective balance between lively restaurant energy and personalized care. This thoughtful service approach gives groups confidence that their experience will be smooth and enjoyable, even when the restaurant is full and busy.

What makes Shabumi a family-friendly venue for meetups?

Shabumi’s casual, energetic environment is also highly family-friendly, making it well-suited for meetups involving children and relatives of all ages. The interactive nature of Korean BBQ and hot pot dining engages younger diners, who often find cooking their own food both entertaining and rewarding. With plenty of choices from the salad bar and various meat and seafood options, children and adults alike can find familiar favorites as well as explore new flavors together. The spacious seating options accommodate families comfortably without feeling cramped. The friendly waitstaff are helpful and accommodating to families, understanding that mealtime with children requires patience and flexibility. Additionally, the availability of indoor and outdoor covered seating provides a comfortable environment regardless of weather. All these factors contribute to making Shabumi a relaxed, enjoyable destination for families seeking both great food and meaningful time together.
