Got to love the nostalgic atmosphere of this iconic establishment. I could just imagine sitting around post-prohibition smoking cigars and drinking the latest batch of whiskey straight from the barrel. This is a classy place to get steak or the famous prime rib and sip on a few Manhattan's. Would recommend the Caesar salad to start with. The presentation was unique or maybe just old school. I really liked the hand hewn wood beams in the ceiling that made me feel like I was sitting in the bow of a ship.

The food was phenomenal! The service could have been much better, especially considering the location and price. Forgetting drinks, not getting the order right on a 2 person table, etc are just things you would think this place would be better than. It's a 5 star location, 5 star food, but 2 star service.

This is not a review of their food as a whole. Boss Lady and I came in as a respite from the 101 F heat that wanted to unalive us. The joint looks like Captain Black Beard will walk in at any minute. We ordered drinks and some onion rings (to tie us over for dinner). They were really good and seasoned nicely. We'll definitely come back to have prime rib and assorted accoutrement.

One of the funnest solo dining experiences I have had in the US. Went here on a Friday night where there is love piano and singing performance. The prime rib is really good and they are very generous with the portion (maybe cause I dined late there.) The decoration is fun and there are many details to be adored. Overall, a very enjoyable experience especially if you are staying at the hotel.

For a $28 salad, is it too much to ask for the lettuce to be chopped up? Maybe I’m just not a fancy person, but having to saw through a romaine lettuce head with a butter knife is a little tricky. The Caesar dressing and everything was good, I just wished it was all mixed together and easier to eat. If you do get a salad, add some meat because the portion is not big. I didn’t mind overall because of the good service and fun tavern atmosphere.
