Nice park but the City of Austin need to give more of a priority to the upkeep of the park system. The grass was at least a foot tall. This is to be expected though as they have really slashed the budget for the park system. Let's increase the frequency of maintenance on all the parks not just Zilker.

Nice park off of 45th street. The swimming pool appears recently renovated and ideal for families with young kids. The playgrounds have partial shade and also appear to be in good condition. There's a full court basketball court and two tennis courts separated by a fence

Oh my goodness does this place bring back sweet memories..♥️ it's good to see that old oak tree still there by the club house..I first came to Shipe Park back in the early 60s..around 64. My brother's even before that..late 50s I suppose..there use to be two cement ping-pong tables right there by the beautiful oak tree and we'd sit there day in day out..what fun we all had.. memories I will hold dear all the years of my life ♥️ Emily H.
