Shredder is a great value for building skills and confidences for a kiddo off the slopes. Our daughter loved the classes and was also so excited to learn more each class. Coach Jay is an incredible and knowledgeable instructor. He is so great engaging with the kids. And his patience is amazing! Shredder creates a supportive and fun learning environment.

Our kiddo started Shredders lessons around 18 months, and we started taking him skiing outside when he was 3 years old. Shredder’s was an excellent way to get him comfortable in ski boots and on skis, but once he really got the basics, class was not challenging enough anymore. The class schedule is also very bizarre - in a 40 minute lesson they spent the first 20 minutes of just walking around in boots. Again, this was great the first year when he was really little, but in his second season he was just ready to practice skiing, and was frustrated that he had to wait so long. He was also the only kid in his class (we didn’t sign up for a private lesson) which might seem like a plus, but as a 3 year old he wanted to ski with other kids as a motivator.

Just started a couple weeks ago with my almost 2.5 year old and so far he's loving it. It's quite a large group for how little they are (I think the youngest is around 15 months) but it's well organized and the balance, ski, and snowboarding areas don't feel too crowded. Equipment is provided (but you can use your own) so it's easy to get out the door in the morning by just grabbing the diaper bag, which is important for busy parents. They practice snowboarding and skiing, both on hills and flat areas, to get them use to the different types of travel involved with a day on the slopes. Friendly instructors, Brooks and Piero.

I'm so happy with our experience at Little Shredders. My daughter (3) is generally a little timid and she was snowboarding down the "hill" on the first day! It was so exciting to see. She loves snowboarding now. The instructors were all great. I will be signing her up next year along with my younger daughter.

My son is two and we're about to take him to try skiing outside for the first time. I was having the hardest time finding skis that would actually fit him, I tried all around town and up in Summit county and all of the options would have been either too long or extremely expensive. I called here and the owner Brooks was willing to rent us a perfectly sized pair of 70cm skis for my son for the week! He even adjusted the DIN appropriately for my sons small boots (Boot rental was an option too but we had already tracked down boots). Brooks is very kind and I'm thrilled we'll be able to set my son up in equipment that actually fits him for his first time out, we are hoping it makes for a great first experience for him. Thank you! :)
