Why Small Circle Hapkido is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Small Circle Hapkido is a distinctive martial arts school specializing in the Korean martial art of Hapkido, known for its emphasis on leverage, circular motion, and joint manipulation to neutralize opponents. This school offers an ideal environment for social connection, personal growth, and physical fitness, making it a great place to meet up with friends. At Small Circle Hapkido, practitioners learn to harmonize kinetic energy through precise techniques such as wrist releases, throws, joint locks, and striking, all rooted in the philosophy of using an opponent's force against them rather than meeting strength with strength. The rich tradition combines elements from Korean and Japanese martial arts, reflecting a heritage of discipline, self-defense, and fluid movement. Highlights include comprehending the circular flow of techniques which enhances control and safety, the development of physical coordination, and the mental discipline to respond effectively in self-defense situations. Group classes also foster camaraderie, making the practice a shared journey of improvement and mutual support. Master Tricoli has taught me alot in hapkido. Starting out I never know to much about hapkido until I meet Master Tricoli. After meeting him and learning this art, I could not stop learning. I can say it is apart of my DNA. I knew Master Tricoli for about 6 years now and I have become one of his apprentice. In hapkido I have learned hapkido, judo, and knife fighting which I am specializing in it. His knife fighting seminoles are very educational, I truly believe and respect Master Tricoli and the knowledge that he gives.

I moved to North Carolina a year ago from New York and had done Judo for 2and a half years. I was originally only looking g for a judo school and when I saw the variety of classes offered I decided to come in and give it a try and I fell in love instantly. I currently take the judo, Machado Jiu-Jitsu and Small Circle Hapkido classes. Seeing the way each art blends into the next one has opened my eyes to how much there is still learn and Master Triccoli is an amazing teacher of teachers to learn from.

Recently began private instruction with Master Tricoli in the areas of knife constructing/building (specifically included milling a wooden practice knife modeled after the real deal, which was on-sight) out of raw materials, instruction on using parachord to lace the handle, sanding to smoother edges to ensure minimal-to-no injury during training, etc. Topics discussed were a brief history of the knife, knife nomenclature, as well as various uses for the tool/weapon. Master Tricoli has and incorporates an extensive amount of information, knowledge, & wisdom in his instruction. He's extremely patient in his explanation (as I personally have minimal experience and no prior formal training in this area). He is as professional as one could hope for...and then some. But what stands out the most is Master Tricoli's true passion for the arts/weapons training/survival prepatory, and an eagerness to share his knowledge to better anyone under his instruction. If you're seeking a cookie-cutter, generic, franchise-type experience....this may not be for you. But if you want real-world, highly effective and an immensely informative instructor....LOOK NOWHERE ELSE! I look forward to upcoming additional private instruction and in case he happens to take a look and see this review..... Can't thank you enough Master Tricoli- see you at our next session!
